Sarah(Cassar)Curmi- Real Bride
Christmas Day 2012 was the day my boyfriend proposed to me. He proposed on our block of land where our future house was to be built. This was one of the happiest days of my life and I couldn’t wait to start planning our wedding. Within two weeks of being proposed to, we had booked our reception venue and the Church.
The big task was finding the perfect gown. My mother, sister, sister in law and cousin all accompanied me on the journey to find my dress. I had been to one other boutique prior to RBC. They were disinterested and provided no guidance to someone who had no idea about wedding gowns. We quickly moved on and walked into RBC.
Josephine first let me chose the gowns I liked then she asked me to try one particular gown on. I vividly remember looking at my sister thinking this woman is mad. The gown was gorgeous, however I did not feel it was suited to my body shape. To not offend her, I tried it on. I walked into the main area of RBC without looking in a mirror.
My mum started crying, then it was a chain reaction. I then looked in the mirror and there staring back at me was the gown I wore on my wedding day. I received many compliments on my dress and I still get told “I had the most beautiful dress” some 7 years later.
With Josephine’s passion for the industry and her heart of gold there wasn’t a chance I was going to be disappointed. The day we married turned out to be a beautiful day. The ceremony was everything I had imagined. Having my dad walk me to the alter to my waiting husband was such a beautiful moment. We laughed, cried and danced our way through our wedding reception. Having all our family and friends around us on the most significant day of our lives was something we will be forever grateful for.
